2012 Royal Rumble Predictions

John Cena vs Kane
Finally, Kane get his opportunity to make John Cena rise above the hate, and Cena gets his opportunity to make hurt Kane after he injured Cena's friend Zack Ryder. This should be a dog fight. If Cena uses any tactics as he did in 2007 when he faced the late Umaga, he will have a chance, but with this mean streak that Kane has been on, Cena must rise above the hate in order to be successful.

My Prediction: Kane

Daniel Bryan vs Mark Henry vs The Big Show in a Steel Cage Match for the World Heavyweight Championship
Daniel Bryan has become a different man since winning the title in December at TLC. At that time, The Big Show did not look at him as a threat. However after the recent events that have transpired, Bryan has become very cocky and arrogant. Mark Henry, hell bent on regaining the World Championship has made it very clear that he will do whatever it takes to win. Bryan who was upset that his girlfriend AJ was hurt by the Big Show a few weeks ago on Smackdown, will do what ever it takes to gain vengeance. However, there will not be much room for him to run, and there will be no chairs for him to grab. He has often stated that he is the smartest wrestler in the world and at the Royal Rumble, he must prove it.

My Prediction : Daniel Bryan

CM Punk vs Dolph Ziggler for the WWE Championship with John Laurinaitis as Special Guest Referee
Punk has made it very clear that he hates John Laurinaitis. With the Laurinaitis evaluation coming up the day after the Rumble, he is almost forced to call this down the middle. Dolph Ziggler made it very clear on the go home episode of Monday Night Raw that he is not to be forgotten about and if Punk does forget about him, then Ziggler will be the new WWE Champion.

My Prediction: CM Punk

30 Man Battle Royal winner gets a title shot at the Championship of their choice
This Royal Rumble states that every superstar is eligible to be in the match, including champions. This will be interesting.

My Predictions
1st Chris Jericho
2nd Sheamus
3rd Wade Barrett

Mr Main Event's Favorite Royal Rumble Favorites

In the past 30 days, I have watched each Royal Rumble at one point. So Here are some of my favorite moments.

Best Royal Rumble Performance

Shawn Michaels and British Bulldog 1995
They were the first two and last two

Worse Performance

The Warlord
He was the first to be eliminated immediately after entering.

Best Royal Rumble Winner

Stone Cold Steve Austin
3 Royal Rumble wins, Two WWE Championships following his wins, enough said

Most Pointless Royal Rumble Winner

Hacksaw Jim Duggan
All he will be known as the first to ever win the Royal Rumble, but just like Big John Studd and Lex Luger, he has never been a WWE Champion. Obviously this was before the Royal Rumble had any type of prestige, but still.....

Best Championship Match on the Undercard
Kurt Angle vs Chris Benoit
In my opinion, this is one of the best matches I have ever seen in the history of the sport. There was no clear cut winner and so many near falls. It is a shame this match has been erased from the WWE's library.

Worse Match on the Undercard

Ahmed Johnson vs Farooq
The only thing good about this match was the build up. There was a great story leading into this match, but there was absolutely no payoff.

Most Entertaining Segment During the Royal Rumble Match

CM Punk 2010
With CM Punk being the Straight Edge Society leader, it was very interesting seeing him try to save the WWE Universe during the Royal Rumble

Best Save from Royal Rumble Elimination
John Morrison 2011
Morrison was thrown over the top ropes and he made a spiderman like grab onto the barricade and walked across in order to get back into the room.

Most Controversial Finish

Bret Hart and Lex Luger Co Winners 1994
Watching both guys fight to the end, only to both hit the floor at the same time was very interesting. The WWE did a great job with both guys receiving a title shot at WrestleMania

David Otunga Returns to the Courtroom

WWE superstar David Otunga took a break from his full time wrestling gig to return to his previous career -- attorney-at-law -- and much like his "Monday Night Raw" matches ... crushed the competition.

TMZ found out Otunga returned to court Thursday morning to represent a man who believes he was wrongfully terminated and denied unemployment benefits. Otunga tells us he was repping the man in his appeal to the NY State Department of Labor.

The proceedings took place before an administrative judge who heard witness testimony and arguments from both sides.

Otunga -- who graduated from Harvard Law School before wrestling -- told us he "smoked the witness during cross examination." The judge agreed ... Otunga's client won the appeal and will now get unemployment benefits.

Otunga says he enjoys keeping his legal skills sharp, and adds ... "If the outcome of the case is any indication of how I'll do in the Royal Rumble this weekend, then it looks like I'll be the winner."

By the way, Otunga didn't do it for the cash -- he took the case, pro bono ... By the way he's engaged to Jennifer Hudson.

Ravens Keys to the Main Event

In order for the Baltimore Ravens to be successful they must do three things.

Joe Flacco Must Have a Career Day
Since Joe Flacco's rookie season of 2008, he has led the Ravens to the playoffs each year, and secured a win in each trip. Many of his critics have stated that the Ravens have won these games despite Flacco's play. With the exception of the 2010 wild card game against the Kansas City Chiefs where he threw for 265 yards, he has yet to throw for over 189 passing yards. It is very important for Flacco to take advantage of the Patriots 31st ranked defense early. Last week, his two touchdown passes matched his career high. The last time Flacco faced the Patriots in the playoffs, his Ravens won 33-14, but he was 4 for 10 with 34 yards and an interception. After listening to the criticism from the media all week including his teammate Ed Reed, one better believe that Flacco is playing with a chip on his shoulder and Sunday he will have the game of his life.

Ray Rice Must Get his Carries
Since Rice became the starter in 2009, he has been the heart and soul of the Ravens offense. Between running to the outside, or catching screens and turning short yardage plays into game breaking first downs, Ray Rice has placed himself in the conversation of elite running backs. However, when Rice fails to get his carries, the results do not pan well for Baltimore. In the four losses the Ravens have had this season, Rice averaged only nine carries. Fans in Baltimore constantly criticize offensive coordinator Cam Cameron for this mistake, indicating that he was trying to test out his new weapons in wide receivers Lee Evans and Torrey Smith. In order for the Ravens to get their passing game working, they are going need their run game to be established first. With this weak defense that Rice is going against, he should have another career game against this defense.

Ravens Defense Must Contain Tom Brady
The Ravens defense are ranked 4th in the league and they are faced with the 2nd ranked offense. Tom Brady loves to sit in the pocket and pick defenses apart. For the Ravens, they will need to disrupt him, stay in his face and play team defense. If they can pressure Brady but fail to sack him, this allows Reed and Webb to get the turnovers. Turnovers are very important. Ray Lewis said that this will be a chess match tomorrow. Ravens defense have been hearing that they are old and will not be able to contain Brady, but with the Ravens playing at a high level against good teams, the defense will prevail.

Jim Ross Accident

Jim Ross posted on his Twitter account that he was involved in a car accident today. Good news is that he's ok. He was driving his Escalade and was hit by a pickup truck, which totaled his Escalade. The seat belt and airbag is what saved him according to Ross.

Championship Sunday Predictions (Current Record 4-4)

Ravens vs Patriots winner: Baltimore Ravens

On Sunday, the Baltimore Ravens (12-4) travel to Foxboro to take on the number one seeded New England Patriots (13-3). They say offense sells tickets and defense wins championships. The Ravens bring their 4th ranked defense to face the Patriots 2nd ranked offense. The world awaits to see which team will prevail. Throughout the week, there has been a lot of pressure placed on Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco. Last time the Ravens faced the Patriots in the playoffs, it was Ray Rice who carried the team to a 33-14 upset of Tom Brady and the Patriots. There is also pressure on Brady. Until, the divisional round blowout, his Patriots had not won a playoff game since 2007. A year later it was revealed they were spying on their opponents. Since then, they had not won a game in the post season. The victory over Tim Tebow and the Denver Broncos was not convincing considering it was against a team who was 8-8. Now he must participate in a chess match with Super Bowl XXXV Most Valuable Player Ray Lewis. Lewis will be accompanied by his defense who includes two other defensive players of the year, Ed Reed and Terrell Suggs. The Patriots defense on the other hand is among the worse in the league, being ranked at 31, while the Ravens bring a mediocre, yet exciting offense. Their total offense is ranked 15th, but their run offense is ranked 10th. This should be a dogfight, but in my opinion, the Ravens defense will keep Tom Brady under control, while their offense find many ways to pick apart the Patriots.

49ers vs Giants
When a team travels from coast to coast, there are always difficulties. In this case, the New York Giants (9-7) must travel to Candlestick Park to face the San Francisco 49ers (13-3). These two teams faced each other  on November 13th and it was the 49ers who were victorious at home 27-20. The Giants struggled in the second half of the season, after beginning the season 6-2. It came down to their final game when they defeated the Dallas Cowboys in order to get into the playoffs. But once they got there, they were able to convince the world that they belonged there. They defeated the Falcons without allowing them to score on offense, and went into Green Bay and pummeled the defending Super Bowl champs. This week they are faced with the league's 2nd ranked defense. But in the post season, the Giants have looked like a very dangerous team on both offense and defense. With 49ers quarterback Alex Smith playing better than ever before  with his favorite target, Vernon Davis, it will be a true test to the Giants defense. With the 49ers playing great against the run all year and it will be very difficult for Brandon Jacobs and Ahmad Bradshaw to get ahead on this defense. The same goes for the 49ers Frank Gore. In recent weeks, the Giants defense have become very stingy. This game will be a battle of the two defense. With the 49ers having the homefield advantage, their defense should be able to outscore the Giants defense because both offenses are going to have a lot of trouble. If Alex Smith can manage the game and limit the turnovers, the 49ers will win this game.

New WWE Team Champions

On Sunday January 15, 2012, Primo and Epico defeated Air Boom to become the new WWE Tag Team Champions. This event occurred during a Raw house show.

I love when these things happen. I do not think it should happen often, but it is good to see a title change at a house show here and there. With Rosa in their corner, this team can have a great run as champs

Defending Their Home Turf, Ravens Fly High to the AFC Championship

to the start of the season, the Ravens had one goal prior to making the Super Bowl, get a home playoff game. Going 6-0 in the division, the Ravens not only locked up the AFC North, but for the first time since 2006, they were able to secure a home playoff game. On this day, they would not disappoint the hometown crowd as the Ravens defeated Houston Texans 20-13 to advance to the AFC Championship Game for the second time in four years.

When coach Harbaugh, Joe Flacco and Ray Rice arrived in 2008, many viewed that season as a rebuilding year. Flaccos job was to simply go in and manage games until then starting quarterback Kyle Boller could return to the lineup. Flacco, in his rookie season managed the Ravens to an 11-5 season. The Ravens would fall short to the Pittsburg Steelers in the AFC Championship Game.

For Flacco and the Ravens, this was the year for them to return to the AFC Championship Game. Finally obtaining a first round bye and receiving a home playoff game, the road was a lot easier than previous years. The Ravens are 8-0 at home for the first time in team history.

The road to the championship would not be a breeze. The Ravens were faced with a young high powered Houston Texan team that were looking to make a statement in the first trip to the playoffs in franchise history. The Texans arrived to Baltimore with a top ten defense. However, Joe Flacco going into Sunday's game has been an incredible 9-2 against teams with top ten defenses.

Flacco, highly criticized for his playoff performances had a passer rating of 97.1. He threw for only 176 yards, but he had two touchdowns. He was able to hook up with his favorite target, Anquan Boldin four times  for 78 yards and a touchdown. Lee Evans, who was signed during the second week of preseason also made a spectacular one handed catch for 30 yards. Unfortunately the run game was not what the Ravens and Ray Rice had hoped for. Rice was limited to only 60 yards on 21 carries.

For the first time in franchise history, the Ravens allowed a 100 yard rusher in the playoffs. Arian Foster nearly reach this mark in the first half. At halftime with the score 17-13 Ravens, it seemed that he may have had the tools to help the Texans take the lead in the second half. However, it the Ravens defense led by Ray Lewis who would contain Foster and not allow Houston to score a single point in the second half. On a hail mary pass, it seemed that Texans quarterback TJ Yates would find one of his receivers to keep the Texans in the game, but it was Ed Reed doing what he does best with an interception that would possibly secure the game.

The Ravens could not get the first down that would allow them to run the clock out. Therefore Yates had another chance. But after a few shots towards the end zone, it was the Ravens defense again that would knock the ball away and send the Ravens to their third AFC Championship Game in franchise history.

The Ravens will travel to Foxboro to face Tom Brady and the New England Patriots. The last time the Ravens were in Foxboro during the playoffs, the Ravens defeated the Patriots 33-14.

49ers Defeat Saints: Alex Smith Silences His Critics.......for this week

All week long, critics have said that Alex Smith could not keep up with Drew Brees on the scoreboard. If the San Francisco 49ers were going to defeat the New Orleans Saints, they would have to do it with their defense and keep Brees off the field. The 49ers proved otherwise.

Although Brees and the Saints were on the field for 31:20, turnovers would be a killer for them. The 49ers, who were home, were excited to be in the playoffs for the first time since 2002, and their 17-0 run to open the game displayed it. But the team with one of the most exciting offenses would not go away. The Saints would score two touchdowns just before halftime. In the third quarter, the 49ers just could not find the endzone. Even with a big 20 yard pass to tight end Vernon Davis, they would only get a field goal in the third quarter.

As the fourth quarter approached, the fans in San Francisco wondered if Alex Smith could take charge and lead them into the NFC Championship, or would Drew Brees have any tricks up his sleeve. In the beginning of the quarter, the 49ers just could not score a touchdown. However, when Brees got the ball, he immediately made the defense pay with a touchdown. Brees found Darren Sproles for a 44 yard touchdown with 4:02 left on the clock. The 49ers down by one, had two options, control the clock and kick the winning field goal, or score a touchdown. However, with a quarterback like Brees, there is no way any team would want to score quickly and leave him any time on the clock. With two passes and two short runs, the 49ers scored their first touchdown in the second half. Going up by five, they attempted a two point conversion but failed. Being up 29-24, there was still 2:11 left on the clock.

With just three plays, Drew Brees did it again. Scoring another touchdown. Brees found Jimmy Graham for 66 yards and silenced the audience of San Francisco. The 49ers, who were playing great defense in the first and third quarter all of a sudden could not stop the Saints. They would have to rely on Alex Smith yet again to come up with another spectacular play. Again, it was the connection of Alex Smith to Vernon Davis that would send the 49ers right into the NFC Championship. Davis was on the reception of a 47 yard pass that put them in field goal range to tie the game. But with the bigger picture in their mind, it was a 14 yard touchdown reception with :09 left that would win the game.

Alex Smith has had a career year, setting career highs in touchdowns, quarterback rating, and most importantly wins. In his playoff debut, Smith threw for 299 yards with three touchdown passes. Vernon Davis, his favorite target, also had a career day in his playoff debut with 7 receptions, 180 yards with a pair of touchdowns. The 49ers await the winner of the Packers/Giants matchup. The way they are playing on defense, despite that fourth quarter, they can beat either team. If the Giants win, the 49ers will be at home, but if the Packers win, they will be forced to go to Green Bay.

NFL Divisional Round Playoff Predictions (Current Record 2-2)

New Orleans Saints vs San Francisco 49ers
This matchup pits the NFLs 2nd ranked defense vs the 2nd ranked offense. The Saints have been playing the best 2nd half football in the NFL, while the 49ers seemed to struggle down the stretch. While Alex Smith has been playing better than he has ever been before, this will be a true test. Smith threw for 17 touchdowns and only 5 interceptions. But his counterpart, Drew Brees has had the best year a quarterback can have, setting an NFL record with 5,476 passing yards, throwing 46 touchdowns and only 14 interceptions. But going against the defense that loves to take the ball away, this will be a challenge. The Saints are on the road in this game, where they are 0-4 in franchise history in playoff road games. However this year, it shall end, as the Saints will move to the NFC Championship game for a second time in three years.

Denver Broncos vs New England Patriots
In January 2002, this New England Patriots franchise began their quest to become one of the most prolific NFL dynasties as they edged out the Oakland Raiders to advance to the AFC Championship game and eventually winning the Super Bowl. It was a Saturday night, where snow poured heavily into Foxboro. Ten years later, the Patriots are faced with a quarterback who possess a magic that allowed him to defeat the Pittsburgh Steelers in overtime. But for Tim Tebow and the Denver Broncos, the tasks gets harder. When the two teams met earlier this year, the Broncos took an early lead, only to lose by 18. If the Broncos are going to win, they are need to expose the bad passing defense of the Patriots. Unless Tebow has another 316 yards in him, the Patriots will win again in a dominant fashion.

Houston Texans vs Baltimore Ravens
When these two teams faced each other thinks were different. Texans wide receiver Andre Johnson was sidelined due to hamstring injury. Matt Shaub was also the starting quarterback. This Sunday it will be T.J. Yates. Now while both teams are evenly matched, it will come down to the play of the quarterback. Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco will be playing with a chip on his shoulder, especially since there is question as to whether he can perform in the playoffs. But the Ravens are home for the first time since 2006 and they will be playing at a high level. Sal Palanatonio said on Tha Best Damn Show In Radio, that this will be the most evenly matched game. The Ravens win this one in a nail biter.

New York Giants vs Green Bay Packers
The Giants struggled in the second half of the season, however, once they entered the playoffs, they became dangerous. A week ago they hammered the Atlanta Falcons, 24-2. This week the task doubles in difficulty. They must go into Lambeau field. The last time Eli Manning went in there during the playoffs, they won in overtime. They also had Brett Farve who liked to throw the ball to the opposing team more than his own. With Aaron Rodgers playing like he is not human, the Giants have their handful and it will be difficult for them to overcome the odds. Packers win this one in a close one.

Jennifer Hudson Wants David Otunga to Quit Wrestling

Recently on the Tom Joyner Morning show, Jennifer Hudson made it clear that she wants her fiance' WWE Superstar, David Otunga to quit wrestling and utilize his law degree. The two have secretly set a wedding date according to Hudson. They have a two year old boy named David Otunga Jr.
In my opinion, David Otunga has every right to accomplish his dream. There is no reason that he should stop his dream of being a WWE superstar, especially since he is surrounding himself around the prominent figures in the story line. Otunga's current role on Monday Night Raw is being a legal assistant to the General Manager of the program. I understand that she wants him to use his degree, but right now Otunga is making in the ball park of $200,000 a year as a superstar, more money than he would make starting out as a lawyer. With Otunga being a superstar on the rise and one WWE can really market, why not let him be a wrestler?

Intriguing Super Bowl Matchups

Baltimore Ravens vs San Francisco 49ers
On Thanksgiving this was named the Har-Bowl. With both teams being coached by brothers John and Jim this would be an epic story. Never before has this been done before and this would also be a great defensive game

Green Bay Packers vs Pittsburgh Steelers
A rematch of last years matchup would be epic. These are two of the NFLs most prestigious franchises and another Super Bowl match would be one for franchise supremacy

New England Patriots vs New York Giants
The last time these two teams were in the Super Bowl, the Giants pulled of what is known as the "Giant Upset" over the undefeated Patriots. The Patriots would love to gain revenge on the team that prevented them from setting perhaps an unbeatable record.

New Orleans Saints vs Denver Broncos
Why would this be epic. The story of two inspirational quarterbacks. Drew Brees prior to winning a Super Bowl was released by the Chargers because they felt that he did not have anything left. Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow has been criticized even by his own front office and reaching the Super Bowl would be amazing.

Which NFC Story is most intriguing

After looking at the AFC stories, take a look at the NFC stories.

Green Bay Packers
The Packers won the Super Bowl a year ago with more than half of their starters sidelined. This year they came back stronger than ever to an impressive 15-1 record. In week 17, Matt Flynn set a new franchise passing record with 480 yards along with six touchdowns. Obviously Aaron Rodgers will be leading the team through out the playoffs, but in case something happens to him, they still should be in pretty good shape. Rodgers has been really hot all season and winning a Super Bowl will prove that the Packers made the right decision by going with him over Farve.

San Francisco 49ers
After bringing in coach Jim Harbaugh from Stanford, many looked at this year as a rebuilding year for the 49ers. Perhaps they would their record would be bad enough to draft Andrew Luck. For the niners, it was the complete opposite. They played their way all the way to the 2nd seed. They say defense wins championships and the 49ers do have the defense that can take them through Indianapolis.

New Orleans Saints
With Drew Brees setting the record for most passing yards in a season, the Saints are playing better than ever. Winning eight consecutive games to finish the season, they seem more unbeatable than the Green Bay Packers. But if the Saints play this postseason like they did a year ago, this season will be an even more disappointment. But the Saints playing at a high level, if they can get past Green Bay at home, they will find themselves right in Indianapolis.

New York Giants
The Giants began the season 6-2. Afterwards they would go ahead to lose 5 of the last 8. The Giants however did win the last two games which were division games that they needed in order to get into the playoffs. But the way they playing, there is no way that they can win the Super Bowl playing at a low level. However, if they pull of the unthinkable, what a story it would be for Eli Manning to win the Super Bowl in big brother Peyton's backyard.

Atlanta Falcons
The Falcons have been one of the most one the best passing teams in the NFL. With the addition of Julio Jones, Matt Ryan has multiple threats at the wide receiving position. However, a year ago they failed to win at home in the playoffs. Matt Ryan has failed to win a playoff game since his arrival to the NFL. If he is going get to the Super Bowl, he must do it by possibly going into a cold city, such as Green Bay. If the Falcons are going to reach Indianapolis, the world may have to find out just how cool Matty Ice really is.

Detroit Lions
Just a couple of years ago, the Detroit Lions did not win a game. Now Matt Stafford and Calvin Johnson, continue to prove just why they are the cornerstones of this franchise. When the team began 5-0 , it was a great story, even though they were overshadowed by the defending champions. When they lost 5 out of their next 7, many thought that the early run was just a fluke. However, the Lions won some meaningful games down the stretch to find themselves finally in the playoffs after years of misery. If Stafford and Johnson can rally the team together, then the Detriot Lions will be a franchise that fans all over the world will take seriously once again.

Bring Back the Womens Tag Team Championship?

In 1984, after the WWE withdrew from the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA) Velvet McIntyre and Princess Victoria who were NWA women tag team champions, became the first official womens tag team champions of the WWE. After Princess Victoria suffered a career ending neck injury, she was replaced with Desiree Petersen and they would hold the titles until August of 1986 until they were defeated by the Glamour Girls. The Glamour Girls are the only team out of four teams to hold the titles twice. The tag titles were abandoned in 1989.

Today, there are a lot of divas on the WWE roster. In an age where Michael Cole seems to bury them every chance he gets, many would complain if the divas were on the card two or three times. With only one title, opportunity for the divas are limited. And who really wants to see a battle royal every month to decide on a new number one contender?

Here are some proposed tag teams?
The Bella Twins
Beth Phoenix and Natalya
Kelly Kelly and Eve
Rosa and Tamina
Alicia Fox and A.J.

Which AFC Story is most intriguing

As the NFL Playoffs begin each team has its own story in their quest to the Lombardi trophy. Let's look at some

New England Patriots
While they are in the conversation of one of the most primer football teams each year it's been six years since they won their last Super Bowl. With Tom Brady having a career performance this year what better way for them to eclipse the season than for Brady to get his fourth ring

Baltimore Ravens
Since Joe Flacco and John Harbaugh have arrived in Baltimore they have yet to miss the playoffs. In each year they have had at least one victory. Coming off perhaps the best regular season in franchise history, winning every home game and finally gaining at least one home since the 2006 season. The Ravens will be well rested and ready to make a serious run in this years playoffs. What better way for the Ravens to win the Super Bowl, than to win it in the home of the team that snuck out of Baltimore over 20 years ago.

Houston Texans
In their first post season apperance, the Texans will have to do it without franchise quarterback Matt Shaub or best defensive player, Mario Williams. Yet with both man out, the Texans still managed to secure the fourth seed in the playoffs. When Peyton Manning was ruled out for the season, many knew the Texans were the favorites to win the division. Still upholding their end of the bargain, the Texans using their run game setting history with two 1,000 yards rushers. What a story it would be for the Texans not only to win the Super Bowl, but do it in the place they cannot seem to win at, Indianapolis.

Denver Broncos
A team that began the season with one quarterback, but after having a losing record turned to a man who many say is not an NFL quarterback, yet they won their divison. The Broncos are a dangerous team when it comes to the fourth quarter. Tim Tebow may not have the best spiral, nor the best vision, but he is a winner, and if he goes into Indianapolis and wins it all he will forever be known as a Super Bowl winner,

Pittsburg Steelers
After losing the Super Bowl a year ago, many teams seem to fold. The Steelers looked bad in week one against the Ravens on the road. After that game they proved it was just a fluke. When the rematch came, this time at home, the Steelers were outsmarted again. However, the defense have still proved to be dominant. But this year, if they plan to go back they will have to go through either Baltimore or New England, which have not been a tough task for them historically, nonetheless it will not be easy.

Cincinatti Bengals
As the 2011 season began, many felt the Bengals were going to fall apart. The high powered offense was no more. Chad Ochocinco went to the Patriots, and Carson Palmer sat out and made it clear that he had retired and would not play for the Bengals. Looking to rookies Andy Dalton and A.J. Green to fulfill those big shoes, the Bengals managed to stay in contention for the divison title with the Ravens and Steelers for most of the season. As they end of the season approached, they started to slip away. Not slipping away too far, they managed to secure the 6th seed in the playoffs. If the Bengals can pull of the unthinkable and win with rookies as a 6th seed in the playoffs. It will be a story for the ages!!
