A year ago, the WWE Universal Title made its debut at SummerSlam. This year, the title will be on the line in a fatal-four-way match. Brock Lesnar will defend his title against Roman Reigns, Samoa Joe, and Braun Strowman. Usually, with these matches, it's just like multiple choices test, one right answer, one wrong answer, and two possibles. However, I could see anyone of these guys walking out of Brooklyn as the new WWE Universal Champion.
The Beast Incarnate has proved that once he overcame Goldberg, he could beat anyone. Samoa Joe took him to the limits, but Lesnar hit the F-5 at the right time and retained his Universal Championship. Considering he performs less than anyone else in this match, he will be well rested when it comes to SummerSlam.
Reigns have had to deal with Strowman on his back for the past four months. But as he told him and Joe, he is a 3-time WWE World Heavyweight Champion, a former Tag Team Champion, a Royal Rumble Winner, and he has main evented the last three WrestleManias. No doubt Reigns is used to big time matches. Eager to prove that this is now his yard, the Big Dog will be more than motivated.
No one took Lesnar to the limits like Samoa Joe, not even Goldberg. Goldberg hit two moves and pinned him. Joe, on the other hand, beat him and was very close to putting him to sleep. He made one mistake and loss. But in a match where fatal-four-way rules apply, Joe could make anyone of these guys submit and he will reach the mountain top at WWE.
Strowman is one of the fastest rising giants we have seen in a long time. The guy doesn't do too much, he just goes out there and destroy's everything in site. With an opportunity to be the Universal Champion, there is no doubt that he would throw everyone in the ring like a rag doll in order to win the gold.
As we get closer to SummerSlam, I will deliver my official prediction, but as of now, anyone can win this thing. Tweet me @BrianHWaters
