Wrestling For The Culture: July 8th

DeAngelo Williams Back on Impact

NFL running back, DeAngelo Williams teamed with Moose to take on Eli Drake and Chris Adonis. Everyone's favorite wrestling insider, Dave Meltzer stated that Williams has the opportunity to be one of the greatest wrestlers he's ever seen. Comparing him to Kurt Angle, who was also able to crossover for professional sports to professional wrestling.

Haku and His Boys, Tama Tonga and Tanga Roa Attack Kenny Omega

Fresh off his successful title defense, The Guerillas of Destiny, Tama Tonga and Tanga Roa, along with their dad Haku destroyed Kenny Omega and the Bullet Club. And they reminded everyone that they are the foundation of the Bullet Club.

Jay Lethal Trouble?

Last week, Jay Lethal won his second Ring of Honor World Championship. This week Taeler Hendrix responded to someone on Twitter revealing that her career at ROH was altered because she would not sleep with Lethal. The company had this to say about the allegations.

"We were troubled to hear the allegations that surfaced last night on Twitter. We take these matters very seriously and will be investigating this situation thoroughly, reviewing all evidence related to the matter. Ring of Honor strives to provide an environment and workplace where male and female wrestlers are free from any misconduct or abuse. We will take appropriate action upon the conclusion of our findings."

First off, I really hate to say that we are in the #MeToo movement. Movements end. Does that mean it will be ok to start raping women once its over? Not in my eyes.

Of course Lethal responded with a normal PR response:

New UFC Champion calls out WWE Universal Champion

After winning the UFC Heavyweight Champion, Daniel Cormier decided to call out Brock Lesnar. Lesnar responded with a shove and perhaps his best promo ever. What does this mean for the WWE Universal Championship? I will discuss this on this weeks episode of Break It Down With Brian H.

Moonwalk into a DDT

I do not know who he is, but nothing spells out wrestling for the culture than a moonwalk that becomes a DDT.

Shane Strickland has a $50,000 Bounty on His Head

Next week on #MLWFusion, Low Ki will take on MLW Champion Shane Strickland and if he wins, he will be $50,000 richer. A bounty set by Salina de la Renta.
